Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Loudkite collects, why we collect it, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to users across the marketplace and artist network.

Last updated March 17, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Loudkite's website, mobile application, marketplace, artist network, direct messaging features, support channels, admin workflows, and related licensing or editorial services.

It covers information collected when you browse public pages, create an account, publish or upload content, send messages, request representation, place bids, request licenses, contact our team, or otherwise interact with Loudkite.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and profile information such as name, handle, email address, password credentials managed through our auth provider, role, biography, location, website links, and verification status.
  • Content and communications such as posts, comments, likes, follows, blocks, direct messages, media uploads, reports, representation requests, artist submissions, and support inquiries.
  • Marketplace and transaction information such as bidder name, bidder email, listing details, pricing, purchase records, Stripe customer IDs, payment intent IDs, payment method references, and authorization or settlement status.
  • Technical and usage data such as IP address, approximate location, device type, browser or app environment, session timestamps, crash or performance logs, and security events associated with authentication and admin access.
  • Information from third parties such as payment processors, hosting providers, storage providers, and linked social or music services when those integrations are used.

3. How we use information

  • Provide and operate accounts, public profiles, posts, messaging, notifications, search, and community features.
  • Publish and manage marketplace listings, handle bids, confirm authorizations, settle transactions, deliver licensed assets, and keep transactional records.
  • Review uploads, reports, representation requests, and other trust and safety signals.
  • Authenticate users and admins, detect fraud, enforce policies, investigate abuse, and protect the integrity of the marketplace and artist network.
  • Respond to contact requests, licensing briefs, demo submissions, and customer support questions.
  • Analyze performance, maintain service quality, troubleshoot bugs, and improve our products and operations.

4. Sharing and disclosure

Loudkite shares information only as needed to run the service, complete transactions, protect users, and comply with the law.

  • Publicly, when you choose to publish profile details, public posts, listing metadata, public preview assets, or other public-facing content.
  • With service providers that help us operate the platform, including infrastructure, storage, authentication, communications, analytics, and payment processing vendors.
  • With transaction counterparties where necessary to complete licensing, verify a winning bid, fulfill delivery, investigate a dispute, or issue required paperwork.
  • With legal authorities, regulators, rights holders, or professional advisers when required or when reasonably necessary to enforce rights, prevent fraud, or respond to valid legal process.
  • As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.

5. Payments and marketplace records

Payment card data is processed by Stripe and similar providers, not stored in full by Loudkite. We do store limited billing and transaction records needed to verify bids, track authorizations, release stale holds, capture winning bids, administer purchases, and support accounting, fraud review, and audits.

Under current operations, Loudkite does not sell personal information for money and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, fulfill licenses and purchases, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and preserve security or audit records.

Retention periods vary by data type. Account data, content, reports, bid history, purchases, and admin or fraud logs may persist after account closure where needed for legal, operational, or security reasons.

Loudkite uses technical and organizational safeguards designed for the current service, but no system is perfectly secure and no method of transmission or storage is guaranteed to be infallible.

7. Your choices and rights

  • You may update certain profile information in-product.
  • You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of eligible personal information by contacting us.
  • You may control cookies, browser storage, and certain device permissions through your browser or device settings.
  • You may opt out of non-essential outreach by following unsubscribe instructions in the relevant message.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Children and age restrictions

Loudkite is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Marketplace bidding, purchases, and other commercial transactions are intended for adults or authorized representatives who can enter binding agreements.
